Los Jardineros
Garden Club 0f Taos
This 1/2-acre garden started as a vineyard 12 years ago. After years of people telling the homeowner they wouldn’t get grapes to ripen in our short season, they decided to believe them. The homeowners made an arbor running from the front to the back of the garden and dug up all the grape vines and repositioned them all along the arbor and created a raised flower bed with boulders.
It has a wild meadow feel designed to bring the back field into the yard with found object sculptures and assemblages by the artist homeowner. Think of Alice in Wonderland with a Bohemian flair.
This year we are requesting a modest $10 registration fee from members and guests to attend each of these tours as a means of fundraising. The funds raised will provide resources for community projects.
