Join us for a tour of a lovely garden in the Country Club area.  Only 15 people can attend per hour, so reserve your spot now.

As you approach the gentle S-shaped driveway and notice that the landscaping begins at the street, you know you’re in for a real treat. Passing a myriad of xeric and near xeric plantings, an attractive rock drainage flows on your right. Soon, the rock driveway turns into pavers, featuring a curving pattern leading to an impressive freeform steel gate designed by Doug McLean of Galveston, TX. The feeling of privacy from the golf course begins here with a very tall wall of huge boulders. Note the lovely bristle cone pine before going through the gate. The serpentine paver path lined with blue fescue grasses, yarrow, Russian sage, and mature shrubs leads you to a patio featuring two metal cactus sculptures. A berm and plantings shield the view of people on the golf course. Around the patio are flowers such as catmint, yarrow, miniature daisies, salvia and a large pyracantha. Continuing around the southwest side of the house, more flowers and plantings come into view. A 75-foot flagstone patio, most of it under roof, offers an inviting seating area and spectacular uninterrupted views in three directions. A huge beautiful willow filters sunlight over the patio but mind the elevated roots! Before proceeding to a small flagstone path back to the driveway, perhaps you’ll want to sit on the bench under a smaller willow.
