Meg Peterson, local birder, author, retired teacher, will be speaking at the June meeting on the subject of birds common to Taos, NM. Our locals, plus the birds you can expect to see each season as they travel through. Peterson has written for the Taos News on birds, water and wildlife and in July will start a column on the environment and water for the News. She is also working with the Taos Land Trust on the restoration of the Rio Fernando wetlands to identify the birds and wildlife in that area.
Our social time will be from 9:30 to 10:00, so join us for refreshments and conversation with other gardeners. At 10:00 am we will start our business meeting followed immediately by our speaker.
